The National Nutrition Council Technical Committee approved the theme for this year’s Nutrition Month celebration which is “Pagkain ng gulay ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain!” The theme focuses on encouraging Filipinos to increase consumption of vegetables to address micronutrient deficiencies.

It is very important for us to eat vegetables because they can give nutrients we cannot get from other substances. Even if you overeat them, it is still good rather than overeating meat and processed foods, you can get so many diseases from them.
